Enhorabuena Dulzuras of Bayamón, Puerto Rico, is issuing this alert due to undeclared milk, wheat, tree nuts, and eggs, all food allergens, in its Enhorabuena Palitos de Guayaba (Guava Sticks). People who have allergies to milk, wheat, tree nuts, and eggs run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reactions if they consume the products.
The product was distributed through retail stores in Puerto Rico during December 2011. The product is packaged in 7 oz. bags, 11 oz. cans and 10 unit packs.
No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with this problem.
As a corrective action, the product is being re-labeled with new ingredient listings and citing allergens.
