Isernio Sausage Co. of Seattle, Washington announced it is withdrawing 150 lb. of its Isernio Fresh Spinach & Feta Chicken Sausage from the market because the product contains milk a food allergen not declared on the label. People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to milk run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume this product.
The Chicken, Spinach & Feta Sausage was sold at QFC stores and has been removed from the shelves according to a representative of Isernio Sausage Co.
The product is not associated with any illness.

Isernio Sausage Co. issued a press release characterizing this as a "product withdrawal." However, we cannot remember any other instance of a product withdrawal due to an undeclared allergen that has not been deemed a "recall." Read the blog for further discussion.
