Fruiti Pops is recalling 178 dozen Fruiti Pops 4 ounce Classic Coconut frozen dessert bars because they may contain egg yolk, a food allergen not delcated on the label. People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to eggs run the risk of serious and life threatening allergic reaction if they consume this product.

Fruiti Pops Classic Coconut frozen dessert bars were distributed in Southern California and are sold by push cart vendors and ice cream trucks. These products were distributed between June 25, 2012 and June 28, 2012. The product comes in clear polypropylene packaging and is not labeled with lot numbers nor expiration dates. The UPC 763734 000011 is located on the back of the wrapper.

No illnesses have been reported to date.

The recall was initiated after it was discovered the 4 ounce Classic Coconut frozen dessert bars was produced with egg yolk and did not reveal the ingredient egg yolk on the packaging.
